Early Life
Fijian-German background, moved to Fiji as a child, struggled with traditional schooling.
Rock Bottom
Period of homelessness in Suva, living between internet cafes and the streets.
Turning Point
Learned digital skills working jobs across Suva, built a marketing career, took on freelance clients from 2021, and founded Limitless Marketing in 2022.
Late 2022 — The Build
Weeks after OpenAI released ChatGPT, Asta worked out the OpenAI API and built the first version of Avaia: a large language model connected to a business knowledge base.
April 2023 — First Deployment
The AI chatbot service went live for its first Fiji business, announced publicly on 17 April 2023. World A.I. News later reported on Avaia's growth 'since its launch in April 2023'.
June 2023 — Avaia Launches
Avaia officially launched on 26 June 2023 as Fiji's first LLM-powered customer support chatbot, followed by the first client's public five-star testimonial that October.
2024 — Going Global
Announced as Director of Communications at ChatBot Builder AI; Limitless Marketing PTE Limited formally registered in Fiji.
